Frequently Asked Questions

How many dishes should I plan for my potluck?

A good rule of thumb is 1 dish per 4-5 guests. For a potluck of 20 people, plan for 4-5 dishes total. Our coordinator recommends specific amounts per category based on your guest count.

How do I ensure dietary needs are met?

Tag each dish with dietary flags (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.). The dietary coverage section shows how well you're accommodating different needs. Aim to have at least one option per major dietary requirement.

Can I share the potluck plan with guests?

Yes! Use the Share Summary button to copy or share your potluck plan. You can also print the list for easy reference at the event or to post in a shared space.

What makes a potluck "well balanced"?

A balanced potluck has dishes across all categories relative to the recommended amounts. Aim for 80% or higher balance score. This ensures guests have variety and all courses are covered.
